Youth are known for their energy, excitement, and love of life. Adolf Hitler known these features, and recognized that he could use these to his edge, turning the young of Germany in powerful tools. He designed to turn Germany's youth in an unexpected army force that he only could control and brainwash. He can, and performed, convince them to give up everything for him.

Hitler said, " I commence with the small. We old ones are used up. Our company is rotten towards the marrow. We could cowardly and sentimental... Although my wonderful youngsters! What are the finer types in the world? Look at these teenage boys and young boys! What material! With all of them, I can help to make a New World” (qtd. in " Hitler Youth”).

The Hitler Youth group goes completely back to the 1890's and was then known as the Wandervögel, a guy only group. Adolf Hitler saw the potential for such children groups, and authorized the formation of a Youth League of the National Socialist Workers' Party, the NSDAP. This new league attracted not many members to start with, for it was competing against quite a few well-established groups. The Hitler Children that we know of today were only available in March of 1922. A proclamation in the official Fascista newspaper needed new members, filing, " We all demand the fact that National Socialist Youth, and everything other young Germans, irrespective of class or occupation, between fourteen and eighteen years of age... join the ranks with the fighters up against the Jewish enemy, the sole originator of our present shame and suffering, your Youth Group of the NSDAP... " (qtd. in " Beginnings”). By simply 1939, account was necessary to all children. Children had been forced into the groups, typically being torn away from father and mother. If the parents refused to let their children sign up for, the parents were then brought to prison, wiped out, or place in a forced labor camp. Teen young boys joined the Hitlerjugend group, or the HJ for short. Teen young ladies joined the Bund Deutscher Mädel, or BDM. At the conclusion of 1939, 8. six million children...
